Our Story

On December 30, 2008, the Case–Shiller home price index reported its largest price drop in its history. The credit crunch, along with Lehman Brother’s bankruptcy (then the fourth largest investment bank in the U.S.), had induced a staggering 27 month drop in home prices across the county. Nevertheless, six months later in June of 2009, Capstone Realty opened its doors as the real estate market was on the decline both locally and nationally. Capstone began with twelve agents and a mission to provide unsurpassed service to the community while creating a culture that provides continual education and integrity among its agents.

Fast forward to 2020 and Capstone Realty is one of largest locally-owned, non-franchised real estate companies in the Huntsville/Madison market. Since opening in 2009, Capstone Realty has seen a 600% increase in sales volume in just a little over 11 years and has been recognized both locally and nationally. Capstone was recently awarded as one of REAL Trends Nation’s Best Brokerages, among the top one percent of all brokerage firms in the country. In 2019, Capstone was listed on REAL Trend’s “Up-and-Comers” list and on Nextdoor, as one of Huntsville’s Favorites in the Home Services Category. In 2018, Capstone received the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award in the Professional Services category.

Over 140+ agents strong today, Capstone credits this growth on their continual pursuit of helping the residents of North Alabama with their real estate needs by placing their clients’ interest and goals at the heart of their mission. In 2022 Capstone solidified itself as the largest independent brokerage in the state of Alabama by partnering with Birmingham based ARC Realty. While the branding remains separate, the shared leadership, personnel, tools, and technology has created a competitive advantage for both our agents and clients. The two brands will provide agents with a competitive advantage through marketing, technology, and real estate services as well as provide a personalized approach with every client.
